 Post subject: ricing vs seizing

Is this the same thing used interchangeably...or is this two different possible mishaps with soap..Ive exprienced seizing one to many times with fragrance oils but is ricing something different?

They're different. Ricing from fo's looks like you've got a whole bunch of little pieces of rice in your soap.

Ricing looks like curds and whey.
Seizing turns the soap to cement with a possible caustic or oily pool.
