Teach Soap

I made my usual recipe that I have made many times.

Avacado 7.54%
Almond 2.51%
Castor 2.51%
cocoa butter 6.28%
coconut oil 20.85%
olive oil 40.2%
palm oil 11.06%
shea butter 9.05%
water 12.16 oz
NaOH 4.3 ounces
My hardness is 39

Plus I added two teaspoons of Sodium Lactate.

I will say the soap didn't gel which is odd for my soap. I poured at about 108 degrees at a very thin trace, which I also don't usually do. I made it on Sunday now it is Wednesday and it is still very soft. I tried to remove one individual bar from the mold and it tore off the bottom. Maybe I miss measured but the amount of the pour seemed correct. It's always something isn't it???

Give it a few more days. My last batch that didn't gel took a week before I could unmold it.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Your first two oils are considered soft oils. Since the soap didn't gel, it will take longer to harden. I would leave it be for now.

Most of your recipe is hard oils so it should work out to be just fine in the end. Meanwhile, patience grasshopper, patience. Yep....easier said than done, don't ask me how I know!

Now I am thinking I am not adding enough Sodium lactate. I could add up to nearly one ounce which is about 5 teaspoons and I only added 2 teaspoons
