White spots

Hi I did my first batch of CP soap yesterday and I did little waves with a spoon on top. But when I looked at it today where it wasn't totally covered with plastic there are little white dots. Could this be soda ash or is it from the lye and I did something wrong?

If it's not sparkly white, it's most likely ash.
Can you post a pic?

Check the spots for zap. If it doesn't zap, it could be ash.
