Teach Soap

Ok so I'm doing really good! I just found an ebay sale, by essential depot and ordered 8 lbs of lye for $23.00 And I'm starting to get reviews back from my testers on my Honeysuckle soap, and the word is they love it! It's super bubbly, and so far lasting well. I'm using a bar on myself and my kids, and it smells amazing. The kids like it because it makes their washcloths bubbly

You might also want to check at a chemical supply company. I used to be able to get lye for about $5 for a one-pound bottle at the hardware stores in Illinois, but in California there are strong regulations in place on the sale of lye. I went to a chemical supply company, where they were selling NaOH for $20 for one pound, $15 per pound for two pounds or more, but at 50 pounds there was an enormous price break -- I got fifty pounds of lye for $38.50 (79 cents the pound)! So it's really, really worth it to look around for a chemical supply company, if you're thinking you'll actually use up that much lye.
