I am attempting to make liquid soap from my cold process, sodium hydroxide soap. The problem is it does not attain a liquid soap consistency. It remains runny and thin, and does not completely blend even after using my emmersion blender. The quality of the soap, suds and cleaning ability, remains intact. Any tips? Thanks, Carmen

I'm not sure. I can tell you that I tried doing this before and got an extremely snotty, chunky consistency that was so disgusting I threw it all away (a gallon). I hope someone has a good answer to this. Sorry I can't be of more help. :?

You cannot make (a proper) liquid soap from your bar soap. You need to formulate and cook it with potassium hydroxide not sodium hydroxide. There are some good tutorials you should be able to find on it, but it does take some patience and practice, and is not usually something that most get in one try. Good luck!

You can't make liquid soap from a solid bar. it will be snotty with not many bubbles.
