Teach Soap

I am not sure about doing the cold process since I am new at this "soap thing" not sure if I want to use lye.....don't feel comfortable

Then read, study and research about CP soap til you feel more comfortable. You can play with MP for now if you want to unleash you creative side.

Don't worry about being unsure. Like Soapbuddy said, play with m&p for awhile and continue doing research and gathering equipment until you are ready to venture into cp. You may never be and that's ok too. It took me awhile and finding someone local that could help guide me and teach me. I would also suggest watching a lot of the Soap Queen videos on basic cp soaping. Otherwise, welcome to the addiction and good luck and have fun with it.

The best thing to do is to find a class you can take on CP soaping. That is really helpful in making everything less scary.

Agreed...I felt the same way...from what I was reading I was very afraid of the lye.
Went to a class..relived my fears...
I am still very EXTREMELY careful..just not as afraid as before

Hi Lovealways, I'm a newbie too. Like others I'd suggest to do researches and, in the meantime, play a little with soap made from pre-made bases. They are fun anyway

Welcome! I'm a newbie too only about 25 batches so far. I was really nervous too but jumped right in and am so happy that I did. The result was a new and creative addiction. I lurked here for a long time too and this forum is THE BEST place to collect information and inspiration. Everyone here is very supportive and giving so you've come to the right place already. If your careful and follow the safety precautions you'll be just fine. As with most things, the biggest fear to overcome is just getting started. Keep reading and asking questions here and I'm sure we will be seeing your first soap posted soon
