O.K. I am rather annoyed. I purchased a new scale the KD-7000 from Brambleberry, and it keeps shutting off after 2 minutes. I read the directions and there supposedly is a setting where you can turn off the autoshut off. It says to do it by pressing on the power and hold button at the same time, and after about 5 secs, you should be able to toggle through the options. However, when I press both these buttons (at the same time) nothing happens. I have tried every combination of holding 1 button first, then the other, then both at same time, but nothing seems to help.

Does anyone else have this scale and can give me any help on how to turn off this function? It has been terrible trying to accurately weigh anything and have it turn off so quickly. I am regretting this purchase already

Ahhhhhh, I finally figured it out. One has to hold both buttons when the scale is off! When it powers up then you can select the desired settings. I will leave this post here in case anyone else has this same problem.

I have this scale and that's exactly what I have done. Thanks for the post.
