Teach Soap

Hi all,

I feel so stupid asking this, but I've looked in many different grocery stores, and I can never seem to find lard. Where in the store is it generally displayed? I've looked where oils are and I've looked in the refrigerated meat area, nothing. And these are pretty major chain stores like Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh...

I've seen it in the grocery stores in the baking section, in the dairy section by the butter & in the ethnic foods section, labeled manteca. Next time you go to the store, just ask them, they should be able to help you find it.

In the Morgantown Wal-mart, Manteca is on the baking aisle with the oils. It is in a white tub.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I've seen blocks of Manteca (which is lard) next to the bacon.

I've seen lard in the Latin section in grocery stores.
