I want to make a fire engine red, not an orangy red, or a rusty red, or a pinkish red. Blood red! I'm hopeful that you'll all tell me what works as far as colorants, where you got the colors, how you mixed them, and all the gory details! I know taht this is a hard color to get, but I also know that there are a bunch of smart people on this forum who have achieved success...

Tomato red fun colours from Nature's Garden, or red oxide 170 from TKB. They both produce a nice bright true red! Like this one:

Brambleberry has a Brick Red Oxide. It's very red and a little goes a very long way.

Brick red oxide is pretty orange, I find. I love the red oxide 170 (which is what is in the tomato red too). I prefer the liquid tomato red from NG, that red was achieved with 3 or 4 drops in 25oz of soap batter!

I also LOVE my BB column molds!! SO worth the cost, which is super low for a mold too!
