Teach Soap

I'm new here but just had to add that I've been using commercial tooth soap and the stuff that I have bought has been shredded. So it's easy to use and you don't have any problems getting at it.

^^^Yeah, with 2 kids that like to squirt, pour, shake, and sprinkle, I'm betting a tooth lather block is where it's at.

Oh, and my new cuisinart stick blender arrived today....so we're OFF to the RACES!!!!

Hello, this is theginger8, from mysoapology.com, I am brand new here so I have not yet figured out how to see exactly what you are talking about, however I also have cringed reading about the ingredients of toothpaste. I tried making my own, with neem oil and baking soda. I found that my mouth was extremely clean although the taste was awful. I love neem and hope I did not poisen myself. I stopped because my dentist told me that baking soda in any form would make your teeth sensative.

^^^Wow...neem in your mouth? Uck...that stuff is so potent just to smell!

And I agree w/baking soda...it makes my teeth sensitive. Too bad it works so good, huh?

If it was me, I would not put Neem in my mouth either.

YAY!

The basic tooth soap recipe was a dream to whip up! And it smells great with .5 ppo....I split the batch and used creme de menthe on one, then peppermint "with a titch" of cinnamon on the other 1/2.

How long must I wait before I try???? I'm *dying* over here!!!

I ordered some spearmint & pepperment EO from Brambleberry, can I use these in my tooth soap or do they have to be "flavoring oils"? I'm not sure I know the difference or if there is a difference.

Absolutely you can use EO's....I used flavoring oils because I bought them local, but I could/should have gotten some w/my order from BB....I was such a slacker and didn't get around to this until just now.

I think you just shouldn't use FO...they would taste yucky!
