The new vertical mold is fun to use and easy to use also. My first attempt not real ambitious but I love the result.

Thanks Irena the Magenta Pink BB is a high ph lab color. I don't know if it will bleed or not, we'll see! It is a spring soap for sure!

wow, Pretty soap, and I really like the vertical mold and its possibilities! I want one
And Mella, even if it bleeds, it will look great for spring! In fact, I think some bleeding would look really cool.

Love how your swirled soap turned out, Joatmon! And, mella, your soap made with the vertical mold is gorgeous - I may need to get that mold for myself one day! 8)

I made my second batch of CP soap Wednesday and cut it yesterday. Got a little more ambitious and adverturous with this one - tried a bit of layering and played with more oils and butters this time (olive, coconut, palm, sweet almond, avocado, and castor oils and shea butter).

The fragrance is Blueberry Lemon Verbena (yum!):

jrose love the subtly of your berry lemon bars. So nice!

llady thanks for the comment, perhaps if it bled it would look better! Hey before this mold I use to use milk cartons quart and gallons. Used a thin piece of cardboard lined with packing tape for the divide. My first m and p swirl was in a quart milk carton!

Two soaps I made today:
Caramel Coffee FO made with goat's milk and coffee grounds. This FO smelled amazing! Unfortunately it didn't hold up very well in CP. (Definitely will order again to use in M&P)

This one is Wasabi Swirl made with BB Wasabi FO. This one held up great in CP and has a strong ginger scent.

Those came out well! I like the color in the first soap and the green swirls in the second one.

Thanks, soapbuddy! I'm thinking the coffee soap will probably darken because it has vanilla in it.

All of the soap on this page looks nice! Such a good job everyone!

Great swirling too! I was going to ask what wasabi smelled like, but then I saw "strong ginger". Now I am curious, is that what wasabui normally smells like, or is that a strong note in the BB version? I like the caramel coffee too, that I am smelling in my minds eye right now!

I haven't tried milk carton soap molds, mainly because we never had anything larger than the smallest, littlest milk cartons, not milk drinkers at all! I have used boxes, plastic containers, and the like, but no milk cartons. In fact, I remember trying to bum one off my neighbor to make an ice candle with cranberries and pine twigs one year. She gave it to me, but then I had to make her one too!

And Mella, I think it will be pretty either way, bleeds or not!

jrose; your lemon blueberry soap looks very nice! I have never considered putting those two together before, but it sounds good! :P

ljm if these soaps are new perhaps the scent will be better a bit into the cure. Sometimes they disappear and then return.

The carmel coffee soap is a cool color and green is my favorite nice swirl there! You got it going on!

Llady I have such fun using funny things for molds. Not very productive sometimes but always fun~!

Great soaps everyone!

Sorry about the carmel coffee FO Ljm.... but thanks for sharing that helps all of us. I love keeping little notes on all of the FO.

Thanks, everyone!

@LL - I think Wasabi is a name BB chose for the blend. Real wasabi smells kinda like horseradish but stronger. I will definitely order this FO again.

The caramel coffee FO wasn't from BB. I will order it again but only for MP. I'm hoping the scent will mellow because right now it stinks! I'm seriously considering rebatching and adding vanilla FO to sweeten it some. :x

@Mella - I've used milk cartons, yogurt cups, plastic salad containers from the deli, etc., but my favorite is the little cups that single serve fruit comes in - it is fluted & makes really pretty soaps. They work better for MP but I've used them for CP too.
