Awhile back I went to the THe Whittney in NYC and saw this Georgia O'keeffe painting


And here is the soap inspired by the painting scented with WSP's aqua spa

Such lovely creations everyone! Here are a few of my soap babies. I hope the images are large enough onscreen. I really had to reduce the size a lot to upload them. This is my first time posting images.


*The images could barely be seen when I uploaded them directly, so I signed up for flickr and edited my original post to share the pics through them. Here goes:

A mocha capp soap, w/liq & ground coffee, bottom half scented w/WSP's coffee mocha FO, upper half unscented.


Lavender & clary sage, I used matte lavender ultramarine to create an ITP swirl. This batch had wicked ash that easily steamed off but not the brown stains underneath my lav buds.


Goat milk, honey, & ground oatmeal soap scented w/BB OMH Cybilla FO.


I know this isn't soap, but I couldn't find a thread to showcase body butter in. I just love the way it looks in the mixing bowl, just like cake batter.

Oh my, beautiful soaps, love the earthy colored soaps and the lime swirl one. I'm Chris, a new member by the way and I started making soaps a month ago. I will try to post my first and second cold process soaps that I made a week or so ago. I can't believe how much I love making the cold process soaps.

SoapySongbird, wow, very nice swirls! Especially considering they are your first! My first swirling attempt was a total disaster! I will post pics later!
Congrats! And I agree, soapmaking is highly addictive!

OK, this is my second swirl, I did in the pot swirl, turned out OK I think


And this is the first one that went horribly wrong Soap thickened up way to fast so I just plopped it in the mold, tried to mix the colors with a chopstick but it obviously did nothing. I also misread the directions of using the colorant (Ultramarine Blue) and added too much of it. I wanted to get lighter blue. Any suggestions on the name of this... hmmm.. creation?
