ack, sorry, zeo, i've been tied up with nursing my dog, so i haven't been around. i didn't mean to leave you hanging!

anyway, yes, i use 80% and up of the coconut oil - sometimes i use a bit of shea or a bit of olive or something like that, but i've used 100% coconut with very similar results. and i use salt at 80-100% of the total oil weight. give it a try and see how it works for you. :D

No problem, I knew you'd be around eventually! :-)

I actually won't be able to make salt bars again until next week. This time I'm going to try the 6 cavity molds from Southern Garden Scents (formerly Tony's).

If you want to recycle your salt bars, crumble them up or cut into small chunks and add it to another batch.
