Soapcakes thank you. The Caroline smells divine and I hope it does not fade during the cure because it is awesome. You really must try BBs rose clay some time...it is wonderfully smooth and beautiful as a colorant plus the benefit of holding the scent better. And it does not affect trace or accelerate.

BAMA I just use a measuring tape and a straight soap cutter. I generally cut 3 x 3 or thinner bars I cut at 3 x 4. The Caroline I just cut weighs 7.1 ounces per bar before the cure. A bit big but that's okay.

I will definitely add rose clay to my BB list, thanks for the recommendation

April, do you mind if I ask about your stamps? Do you just push them into your freshly cut soap? Or do you tap them with a rubber hammer? This is such a cost effective way to get a great stamp! Thank you SO much for sharing them... you should sell those on Etsy!

tonibabcock thanks I will try again with the liner. I tried and tried and them gave up and poured so I will play with it.

Julie mine held a tad over 50 ounces of mixed soap...plus a couple samples. My batch was 53 ounces and filled to within 1/8th inch from top. I really love the mold if I can get this liner smoothed out and with tonibabcock's help I think I will.

Dawn beautiful soap. How much did the Bordeaux accelerate? I noticed in the description that is moves fast.

I am thinking of taking my rounds and turning them into honeycomb shaped not sure yet. I shall post pics of my attempt should I try it.

Estellka maybe it has something to do with the recipes and oils used? Play with some micas and pigments if you need to. The darker color has a pinch of Burgundy pigment in it. Maybe try some pinks corals or burgundy shades to achieve the color you want. My recipes all have buttermilk in them so that makes it a creamier colored base to start with.

The soap you made was very nice looking...not at all an ugly color...at least to me.
