Your soap looks fine! It could be soft because it didn't gel all the way or because of the oils used, etc. As long as it doesn't zap it'll be ok. Just give it about 4 weeks to cure. (that's the hard part!)

It sounds like maybe only a partial gel - If it looks like that again, just leave it sit in the mold for another 24 hours or so (I know, I know...but patience is a virtue!)

That figures, doesn't it! You might want to wait longer to unmold it next time just in case, or you could put it in the freezerfor a couple of hours and then unmold it, but not cut it until you know if it is solid.

Well after trying my second batch. ( A HUGE foaming mess that went everywhere) I tried again Being out of Mowrah butter and having all this scent and color staring at me I tried something else. Here is the soapcalc on it. It is high on the cleansing scale I know, but my daughter was wanting me to make her some using a Pink Sugar dupe.( Make that pestering) It got a little stiff quickly but otherwise went into the mold fine. I added bamboo silk to exfoliate too. Is there a place on here that tells you the different oils qualities ? Or a good online place that could be found ? I am probably missing it  Now I am down to cocoa nut oil, castor oil, GV shortening and sunflower oil. Must make more soap !!

Adding extra stearic acid to your recipe will make it move fast. Ok, I'm I reading this correctly?

You used:
1 Soybean Oil 40
2 Castor Oil 50.1
3 Stearic Acid 20.04
4 Coconut Oil, 76 deg 50.1
5 Sunflower Oil 30.06
Did I write that correctly?
Then those numbers be to run through a lue caclculatorto see huw much water is beeded ti hiuhyvblue
Does anyomr ha lue cajcujator

Sorry this is what I did based on soapcalc

Soybean Oil 40%
Castor Oil 5%
Stearic Acid 2%
Coconut Oil, 76 deg 50%
Sunflower Oil 3%
1 oz fragrance oil per pound (this was for two pounds of soap)

Water 0.76 pounds
Lye - NaOH 0.296
