Hi Mella:
The Anne Watson book is how I learned the basics of soapmaking and got the courage to try it for the first time, but it doesn't have as many recipes as I would like. Or maybe that's just because I'm especially interested in finding and learning some recipes that include things like Mango nectar, oatmeal, coconut milk, etc. And I am also curious about replacing the water with other things.
Is this the book you are referring to (there is a similar one that was put out in 2003, so I want to make sure this one is the correct one):
I would also love to have this book (for the art, not for recipes) but it is a bit too costly:
I will have to post some photos when I get home tonight. My very first soaps are due to be cured enough for use by this weekend, so I'll
finally be able to try some of them and give samples to friends so they can give me feedback.
After only one month, I am already soooo hooked on soapmaking! I love the artsy part of it but, of course, I also want the soaps to work very well for cleansing and moisturizing - not just to look pretty. I really need to try to sell a few bars though so I can fund my new addiction
Thanks!
