I was also thinking if it was getting to big, maybe we could do teams;

Team A (max of 6 people)
Team B (Max of 6 people)

Then Team A could swap with themselves and Team B, Team B swaps with themselves and Team A

That way you are never making more than 10-12 bars, but still getting to sample other folks stuff and be able to accomodate a much bigger group.

It would take a bit to keep track of what group swapped with what group last time - but shouldn't be to bad.

What do you think?

Ok, I think I'm gonna sit this one out. Maybe I'll get in on the next one when I'm making full size bars and am not testing quite so intensively.

I'm just jumping in to hostess so you guys can see how it works - after that, anyone who has an idea for a swap can leap in and start one, just start a new thread for it.

PamperPantry, let's wait and see how many we get - I'm not sure I'd have time to run more than one group. I've done multi-group swaps before, and they were quite time-consuming. I understand what you're thinking, but that would be a lot of work for the swap hostess (me, in this case, and I'm old and cranky).

lol, well, okay, then.

The truth is that swaps are a ton of fun, and I'm sure there will be more that you can get into later.

Just some thoughts -

a sugar scrub swap
an "autumn harvest" swap, any product by inspired by harvest
a swap of all essential oil soaps
oh, a million other things

I've done swaps inspired by movies, by music, by ingredients, by holidays, by products.... and they were all a blast. So this is just to kick us off, and I'm sure there will be more to come.

I'm interested too but it would be nice to set it up, then set a deadline a couple months from now ( say...mid-august) for the actual exchange. That way, the folks that don't gell will have time to let their soap cure before they send it on.
