The wonderful soapbuddy gave me this awesome website to work out how much water to use... http://www.rivercitysoaps.com/dwcp/watercalc.php

I work with a 40% dilution. So plug in how much lye you need, plug in 40 and then hit calculate. That's how much water you need to dissolve your lye.

Subtract the amount of water from the total liquid amount, and the number remaining is how much milk to add at trace/oils
