Odd that they come packaged in a way that is prone to leaking like that. Good to know!

Maybe now that you know, next time you could call ahead and ask them to specify a place for the driver to deliver the package, or leave a note on the door for him? I've had to do this with DHL when I lived in an apartment building. Instead of buzzing my apartment, they would leave the package on the ground outside of the building. I can't tell you how many times I ended up with no package due to that.

Not to mention the fragrances, I keep them in the refri as well, to extend their shelf life.

I put everything, base oils, essential oils, fragrances, etc in the fridge.

I was thinking about melting down all my butters down and then pouring them into a small silicone loaf mold that I got, and making them one ounce each, that way I can store the little loafs in a baggie or plastic tin and easily tell how much I have left. Just have to let it get cool enough to even turn on the oven.

I got my BB order today, and this is the first time I've ordered butter from them.

My other suppliers ship butters in ziploc bags (double bagged)

I see what everyone is saying about the way BB packages their butters.

Maybe it's to keep cost down? I wouldn't mind seeing them double bagged in Ziploc bags... I will definitely be transferring my butters into something more air-tight.

The only other butters I get in bags are the bulk ones, and they are in 3 or 4 layers of bags. I honestly wouldn't mind an option for a bladder bag or cuppie for a small charge. Gotta love the precious butters!
