Hehe thanks.

So it looks 'ok'? I can see that it gelled too - almost to the edges!

Now I just let it sit for 6 weeks? Geez that's the end of January lol. Aaaarg that's a long time to waaaaait.
And just so I know, what does the 'zap' feel like? I assume you do it with your tongue like a battery? I've never been zapped from a battery, but I have been told it's like a static shock with that. Like when you tough someone who's been on a plastic slide and you zap them with your finger.

Sounds like you poured at thick trace. When you add colorants and want to do a swirl, it's best to mix until everything is just emulsified (very thin trace) and then separate out what you want to color. If it's too thick it will be hard to get the colors blended in and even harder to swirl! You could start with a simple in the pot swirl. They are easy to do and look really nice. That's where you add your colored soap back into the main pot and it will swirl when you pour it into you mold.

Your small pieces will probably cure faster than the larger pieces. I would have already tried that broken piece in the picture! 8)

Yeah I think so. When I was originally reading up on CP, I read that hand mixing (with a spatula) could take hours to reach trace. So I jumped straight in with my stick blender. Then of course it all happened VERY quickly! By the time I was going 'oh cool, this is what trace looks and feels like', it was already thick.

The small broken piece is the left over wipes soap lol. From when I was wiping my spatula off, cleaning out the last from the pot, etc. So you can see it was quite thick because it just stayed half way up the small mold and everything!

I would use a paper underneath instead of a towel. Towel absorbs moisture and you don't want that back in your soap.

LOL debsisson... not something I want to experience lol. :o

Moved the bars over to butchers paper. Awesomely enough, it's the perfect size for my cube shelves once I fold in fours, AND I can write the date I created it on right on the paper! That will help me to keep track of everything... coz I see about 100 more batches between now and 4 weeks haha

Woo hoo - look at that! I'm contributing back already. I wrote the batch number, the date I made it and the date 4 weeks ahead so I know roughly when it will be ready.
