Thanks, soapbuddy, for confirming that about when to superfat in CP. I always use the Mountain Sage lye calculator and follow their lye discount to create the superfat, but I was wondering if adding extra oil instead at trace did something different--no, then. I will continue including all the oils I use in the percentage formula and then following the amount of lye the calc says to use to achieve the superfat I want--seems easier to me.

I bought unrefined Hemp seed oil from Crafter's choice and they said to use it within a year and keep in cool dark place. But on Camdengrey.com it says to use unrefined Hemp seed oil within 4 weeks of opening. How does it vary so much between sites? Anyone know? And does it make my lotion bars only last ...well how long would they last with hemp seed oil as their main oil without preservatives?

i got a response to my last question but I'm not sure how to reply to it because ti's not showing up on the regular feed and doesn't have a reply button under it. How does hemp seed oil hold up in brambleberry premium melt and pour soap? If i add germall plus to the soaps or lotions how long will that make the shelf life?
