I amafraid to admit the gel/gel issue is confusing to me. If the oils are at room temp what temp is the lye water? I guess mine gel because my oils and lye water are between 100 and 110. I pour it in the mold, cover with syran wrap and wrap it in a towel. It seems to get very warm. If I could do a process that uses less FO that would be a money saver.

If you insulate and it gets warm, it most likely gels. I soap at around 110 degrees for both oils and lye water. I don't insulate and put my soap in the fridge or the freezer.
