Image Wow. I think I've finally got the creamy GM technique down. Thank you Justkate, Knine and Soapbuddy. I bought a carton of Meyenberg GM at Whole Foods and weighed the amount needed then froze in a plastic bag. I used Fir Needle and Rose Geranium EOs added directly to room temp oils, and finally sodium lactate just before pouring into molds that were chilling in the freezer. Trace was fast. So far - four days out - all is still cream colored. My prior batch came out dark tan, and I stuck one of those bars in the pic. The Irish Knot on the right looks darker, but it's just the lighting. I was amazed that the soap popped out of the molds so easily. Can't wait to try again. Sorry the pic is so large. I have yet to master picture sizing.

Success! Those are gorgeous! Way to go! I too was amazed that the soap popped out of the molds so easily. I'm so glad it worked well for you, too! Fabulous looking soap and quite the contrast with the previous tan bar. Great job, scents!

Good work scents! You don't have to pre chill your molds---- I think they will be easier to fill if they are room temp. I let them set up a bit --- maybe 20min-1/2hr then put them in the freezer. Once again, depending on the fo, some can sit in the molds longer before freezer time--- others, say Apple Jack & Peel will start heating up soon after the pour so they need to be ready to freeze within 5-10min. I'm so excited to see all the goatmilk soapers!! It makes such a great soap!

Thanks again everyone. I had been all veggie for no particular reason, but now I'm liking the soaps with GM, tallow, and yes, even lard; so I'm giving them a try too. The ideas and great advice on this board keep my little kitchen humming. :D

I have read this thread with much interest and have a question. Does the soap from the freezer still zap? I assume that it needs a 4 -6 week cure. I will add this technique to my list of things to try.

The soap from the freezer should not zap after 24 hrs. At least mine don't.
