Back to Essential Depot's EO's... I have used them and they're okay. BUT many of their EO descriptions say they are "therapeutic grade" which bugs the heck out of me because there is no such thing. You would think a company that sells essential oils would know this and would not use that term in their description. It makes me very cautious about buying EOs from them.

I knew everything you just said about DT & YL, except the killing their own baby part. I assume they were prosecuted for this? But I have never heard it in such forceful terms. I am not an aromatherapist, bc the classes are a bit expensive. I wonder if I could write them off against revenue as part of my new LLC. I'll have to inquire with the accountants about that.
Don't they use essemtial oils for medicine in France, and why can't I get my hands on some of those books in English? I will inquire w my friend about what he was talking about regarding the wavelength thing and get back to you if I have any good info. I heard about how YL failed a lab test. Of course, they rebutted that by saying the lab made an error. I will take your word for it about YL & DT. I had same opinion until my friend was telling me how great they are. Thnx for the info.

Essential Oils are used as medicine in France. They are by prescription only, prescribed by Licensed doctors and available only through licensed and certified pharmacies. Many MLM reps advise their customers for serious medical conditions. That is prescribing without having a medical License, which is illegal. Both YL and DT use the excuse that you’re detoxing when someone has a bad reaction to their oils. It’s so very irresponsible of them. I personally find brands like DT and YL to be similar to the pharmaceutical industry in that they want you to use their products whether you need them or not and use them every way you can, safe to do so or not, and as fast as you can (hence how they recommend internal and not diluting makes that bottle finish faster) in order to increase profits.

Yes, my post was somewhat forceful. I am angry and very frustrated by both of these MLM companies.

I would still welcome others with experience re. 5-fold orange oil and the scent sticking etc.

As for the rest of the conversations that suddenly started to escalate, with views that many of you engaged in regarding essential oil vendors, safe/unsafe, how bad some of them are, what they have done in their personal lives, what they do today etc, etc; Please feel free to start your own thread to discuss the matters further. That would be an interesting read that I could learn from too, I am sure.

I understand you did mean no harm, but in this thread I actually asked for some feedback and assistance regarding 5-fold orange oil, as this was my first time ever to use it, which made me really insecure if it should smell this strong. So some feedback from those that had experience with 5-fold was the reason I started up this thread.

I do apologize if I sound snippy, I assure you I am not. I just felt my thread got hijacked.

I have used the 5 fold lemon with good results. The fragrance does fade slightly as the soap cures but once it gets wet the smell bounces back nicely.
