Hrm, it is curious that it was said the recipe was both 5-6% and 3%. My advice with that would be to run the recipe through a lye calculator on your own and set the SF% to your liking.

My personal salt bars are always 20% SF, and the salt weighs 50% what the oils do. With this I get a nice creamy lather. I've really no idea why your soap has no lather! Do you have super hard water? Perhaps the combination of salt and hard water would account for the lack of lather. :?:

Hard water does inhibit lather. A 100% coconut soap with a 20% superfat will lather in ocean water.
