So would you call this a failed batch? It does dilute and has a nice lather. The paste itself smells bad but I was going to scent it anyway. I just don't know what to do with it. I am ok with having to throw it out cause I didn't waste a bunch of ingredients. Ahh! It's so confusing. It is not rock hard, it is paste like but it is a really ugly brown color and dilutes to a brown color. I guess I will just chunk it and start over.

I purchased the liquid soap video from BB, and I use the recipe Anne Marie does in the video, its super easy and turns out really nice! But preservative is soooo important! I preserved 1/2 and not the other half. The unpreserved 1/2 was TEAMING with microbes within a few days, but looked nice to the eye still. After 4 months it reeked of decay and was full of long brown fungal chains. Was a neat experiment though! The bottles were sterilized and sealed once filled. They weren't opened until the 4 month mark.

I will have to buy the video. I bought the book but not the video.... I am one of those that needs to watch it step by step about 20,000 times to get it. I watched lots of youtube videos but I guess not enough.
