Have a quick question or two about facial soap.
What contributes to make facial soap?
If increasing your Olive Oil %, how much longer is curing time?

Facial soap is whatever works for your type of skin. Pure castile needs a long curing time; sometimes up to one year. In a blend with other oils or butters I would go at least 4 to 6 weeks.

Honestly, everyone's opinions on facial soap are different. I use a coconut oil, castor oil, sea salt soap with a high superfat on my face and I love it. My daughter & husband like olive oil with activated charcoal. My sister likes olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, castor oil, babassu oil and bentonite clay.

I'd look at what kind of skin type you have and then find oils, butters and ingredients that are good for that skin type.

As for how long olive oil soaps need to cure, I find that my soaps that are 40% olive oil are best at 6-8 weeks cured or longer. My 100% olive oil soaps are good at 3 months, great at 6 months and the best at 1 yr.

I made a "standard" soap with my normal recipe only I used almond milk and avocado puree. Everyone who has tried it really loves it!

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I froze it and used it as 100% of the liquid. I left in the "pulp" too, but you could strain the milk before you freeze it if you didn't want that part! Was just some unsweetened almond breeze from Whole Foods.

I would guess that the Almond Milk will be the 100% replacement for water, and the Avocado Puree would be an additive at trace.
