I ordered a HUGE order of supplies from BB on Jan 31 and it still has'nt shipped because they are "behind" on orders, has anyone else had this happen with their order from BB? Just wondering because I may find a different supplier if its like this every order.

yes you are not alone, i placed an order on the 27th and it just shipped yesterday. but i know they took a longer holiday vacation so they were a little behind. im sure they will catch up soon. :) u can see on their web site what days they are working on shipping out today, on the main page.

I ordered on the 23rd, I live on the east coast. My order won't get here until at least monday the 7th. And because their order volume is so high they are running out of stuff. I knew that would happen. So my order is coming in short. I didn't know about that till the order shipped. I'll
sure be glad when things get back to normal for them ( turn around wise).

I ordered mine back in 1/10 and didn't get shipped until almost 2 weeks later.

Ordered on January 31. Gosh. That has only been 4 days. Cut them some slack. You won't regret it. They are one of the best companies around.

I was not expecting 11 days for BB to ship out my order so I have to say I was not happy about it. Back in 1/10 when I placed my order BB did not indicate on their web about how behind they were on all their orders. I wish they did because I would have waited. I still love to buy from BB but I'm a little hesitated to order right now. I'm holding back until I know they are up to speed.

I know it is sooooo lame that we are this far behind; we've been working extremely hard to catch up (hired 6 FT people in the last month, everyone is working overtime etc...). We projected a small increase in orders in this January over last January - enough that we'd be easily caught up by the 10th or so and we were thrilled yet wholly unprepared for the tsunami of orders that hit us when we returned from holiday break + (dreaded!) warehouse inventory counting.

I am so sorry; it's painful for me to watch. It's painful for our team to work through given our years of excellent turnaround time. Since we're already halfway across the country from so many of our beloved customers, it's even worse (we take a week to ship an order and then it's another week in transit?! Painful!)

I don't blame anyone that is frustrated or upset. We've done our best to notify customers with the big home page note (which, no, was not there on the 10th of Jan but went up soon thereafter) and with notes on all of the customer order email confirmations so that people aren't surprised and can hopefully plan accordingly.

We are making slow and steady progress. It is slow. But progress is there. The new staff are definitely getting up to speed and are helping us not only tread water, but get ahead each day and we're hoping to be back to speedy turnaround in the next couple of weeks. We catch up a little more each day.

I apologize for not being able to anticipate the order influx. It hit us from completely out of the blue but we are thrilled about it on a macro level because we (hope!) think it means that the economy is loosening up for many of our customers and for that, we are thankful.

Thank you for your patience as we work through this time of growth and change.

I got my order pretty fast, but I'm also fairly close. Congrats on growing your business! If I was closer, I'd come to help, and also to sniff all the fragrances I haven't got yet.

I ordered on the 20th of Jan, and just got it yesterday. Will I order from them again?....you bet cha. I trust what I get--it's a little frustrating at times but their products are worth it. When they say a fragrance will accelerate trace or discolor or is tricky in any way, take them at their word. So many other suppliers just put their products out there without any testing or forwarning. I'm soaping on a shoestring budget and I like to know before hand what I'm getting. I can't afford too many mishaps.

I live 3.5 hours away so transit time isn't a issue. . . my order shipped and arrived in 11 days or so. It was painful to wait for it but worth it. I love BB and purchase about 95% of my supplies from them.

Before anybody else jumps on this bad-wagon I would like to express my thoughts. (please correct me if my idiom use is incorrect). Everyone here is correct in expressing their frustrations with the amount of time it takes to receive orders. But I would like all of you to consider a few things. Anne Marie has hired 6 additional full time employees to assist with the backlog and bring things up to date. I own both large and small business. I’m directly managing none of them. I know my strengths and I don’t have the knowledge to properly run a business. But I do know this: Hiring of 6 full time people requires a large commitment. Not only are you paying wages, you’re paying insurance, taxes, benefits, unemployment taxes and etc. Has anybody noticed BB’s prices? They have not increased to my knowledge…..at least not yet. Any other company would have begun passing those costs along to the consumer before hiring new people.

I hate to relate everything to sports but consider this: If a team is losing every game, every season, the coach who doesn’t change anything is replaced. The coach who keeps bringing in new talent, keeps trying to change the way they practice, they way they play…..this is the coach who keeps his job and probably gets a raise. Anne Marie is trying…..she’s here communicating with us, she’s not making excuses, and she is trying to fix things, she’s considering new options and she’s doing this under extreme pressure while we’re threatening to take our business elsewhere. If she was silent, hiding in her office, not doing anything to change the situation…..then believe me, I’d be driving the bad-wagon. And someone here said it nicely. You can things cheap, quick or right…..but only 2 at a time.

I’m not trying to sway anybody’s opinion here……I’m just asking people to see the whole picture before criticizing.

One last departing thought. Can anybody else here name a retail company, any company that supports and devotes resources to running a forum where it’s members can share ideas and thoughts?

Time to feed the horses.

Supersoaper, I don't feel criticism is bad for BB. It is actually good for Ann Marrie to get sometimes. You want your customers to tell you the truth so you can improve. It's true that most of us are complaining about the recent frustration, but at the same time we also express our appreciation for BB products and service. It is the right of a customer to express his/her thoughts, and it's the responsibility of the business owner to take it in and grow from it. To me this is called communication, and is fair and healthy and necessary. It is nothing personal, and nothing wrong. So don't take this the wrong way, we are not yelling at Ann Marrie and bashing her behind her back, at least that's not my intention. Again, let me say this, I still love BB, and would continue to buy from BB!
