Teach Soap

I was on the 'Adventures With the Sage' web site and I saw some watermelon soap that I want to make () but I was reading through the instruction and I was a little perplexed at this statement: Allow to cure for several days before using.

Do you think that is a typo? I thought cold process soap had to cure for 4-6 weeks . . .

You can use CP soap after only curing a few days. It becomes milder with age though. The soap is still pretty "wet" at such a young age and could be a little harsh. I've used soap after 3 days to test and compare using one out of the same batch after 3 weeks. The young soap dissipated very quickly but the 3 week soap, after the water evaporates, was a better bar of soap. You "can" use it after 3 days but the longer you wait, the better the soap.

Shhhh......not right now. I'm watching the most awesome show I found on an "oldies" TV station. It's called Gilligan's Island. This is the best sit com I have ever seen!!!! Have you guys ever seen this?? It's hysterical!!!

second: I heard about that web cam thing, so now my paranoia just kicked in and I turned the camera towards the wall. (not that I'm sitting in my pj's or anything).

Bubbles. No reason to be paranoid. We can't see you sitting there in your PJ's on at 5 p.m. Worst than my sister. She puts her PJ's on around 5 to 5:30 every night.

Oh....by the way, the picture on your wall where your camera is facing is hanging a little crooked and it's driving me nuts. Sorry but it's the OCD thing. Can you straighten it please?

Ha ha ha... I think you are having some visual delusions. I know of a few good medications that can help with that! My camera actually is inside of a roll top desk... very dark brown. But if you did see that photo it would be of Bret Farve or the 3 stooges! And it is nearly 9pm, surley PJ time! Actually I cannot live without that camera, my grandchildren live on your side of America and we MUST stay in touch!

SuperSoaper, you've never seen Gilligan's Island before? You must be very young. I saw it first time round, and so did my elder kids. It's a brilliant, timeless comedy, good for kids, but with a lot of innuendo they wouldn't get (hopefully). I love it.
