It's a nice scrubby, that rinses clean. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't bother me. Try it! :)

I did some looking around and found this site with what looks like a VERY interesting salt bar soap recipe. http://www.soap-making-essentials.com/s ... -soap.html
I am thinking that I am going to have to give it a try soon. I just have to get some fine sea salt as I am getting low. When I get this done I will let you know how it goes. Apparently you have to cut it fairly soon as it tends to get really hard and crumbly.

Does salt soap take the usual time to dry and cure or does the salt speed that up?

Dead sea salt can cause the weeping. Regular sea salt should be fine, but I too use table salt-it works better for me. There is a good online tutorial. Here is a link- just scroll down the page until you see the tutorial for salt bars. This was the method I've used and haven't had problems.

I've done salt bars, but mine didn't go in the oven. I'm glad I cut them when I did as they got hard fast.
