Hello

I made a batch of Bastile. I used Olive Oil and Castor Oil.

My question is what is the cure time on this soap. I know with Castile you cure 6 months. Do I still cure 6 months?

The longer you let it cure, the better the soap will become. :)

I just used a bar of Castile with an 8-week cure and I'm hoping it will get better, a lot better. Half way through the bar it looked like the oil was bleeding out and forming a gross slime layer around the bar. It had very little lather too.

I tossed it, ick! :?

I just made my first batch of castile soap. I am understanding that at first the soap will feel slimy. But apparently after about 4 to 6 months it becomes awesome! It's only been a month and I am going for awesome!! ...anticipation is killing me, though.
