Teach Soap

I made a batch of butterscotch snickerdoodle GM soap. When I took it out of mold, it had dark brown areas throughout. Almost looked marbled. The lye mix did get a little hotter than normal but I put it in ice bath in time I think.
What would do this and is it sellable?
It smells great!

Sounds like it's discoloring and should happen with the whole batch over time.

It's most likely the vanilla content in your fragrance oils.

Most FO suppliers note in the description of their fragrance oils if it contains vanilla and to expect discoloration, some even give you a percentage, so for example you might get more brown with a high percentage of vanilla and kind of a cream or tan with a lower percentage. You might get immediate discoloration with some, especially if you gel your soaps, and others discolor gradually over time.

And it's perfectly safe to use.
