Hi, I made my first cold pour batch of soap...yey! However it feels kind of powdery, it lathers and basically everything else is fine but it has a powdery feel to it. I used just a basic recipe for beginners, followed it to the T! I also made a batch of cupcakes soap and they came out perfect hard but feels like the way soap should feel...only difference is that one had shea butter in it. Anybody know what happened?

The shea butter could be the difference. It could also be because the soap is fresh and hasn't cured yet if you just made it yesterday. Give it a few weeks and then use it to see how it feels.

It's possible that what you have is just soap ash. If that's it, it's only aesthetic.
