Hi all. It's been a couple of years but I am back to staying home and am getting the itch to make a loaf of soap. I don't have any coconut 76 or Palm oil and I was wondering if anyone has ever made soap without them other than a plain olive oil soap. I have fractionated coconut oil and jojoba and olive and sesame. I was also planning on adding some beeswax and cocoa butter and castor. I ran it through soapcalc and the hardness and everything was within range. I am just wondering if I should waste my time or give it a try. Thanks, and I am glad to be back. I can post the recipe if that would help with opinions.

Go with olive, cocoa butter and castor. That should make a nice soap. I don't think you will need the beeswax since olive oil turns hard and cocoa butter is a hard butter.

Thank you for the reply. I think I will try that. Now the only question is......what scent do I pull out of my stash? LOL! I think I will go bury myself for a moment in my cabinet and decide on just the right one. Oh, I can't wait!
