Ive only been making soaps for 6months (watched every You Tube video and read a lot of threads on here) and decided to give a load of soaps away to friends (who gave to their friends) to get some feed back on what they thought, liked, disliked as somewhere down the road I'd like to sell. I went out lastnight and couldnt believe the response i got. What a buzz to hear people say such lovely things about my soap (castile G/H) I only wanted the feed back on what they thought and instead I had orders of 50, 20, 15, and other small 1's. I didnt realise that making soap could make me feel so good about myself. Thanks to everyone on this forum for the great advise and helpful attitude.

It is a wonderful feeling to get positive feedback about your soap.

You mentioned that you gave away castile and you've only been making soap for 6 months. Castile needs at least that amount of time to cure. You can use it before that, but it's nowhere near as nice as if you wait. Just curious, how long did your soap cure before you gave it away?

I remember you said in one of your early posts that you were only making castile. I love castile soap and make it for myself using goat's milk in place of water. I'm glad that you waited 4 months before giving it away. I hope everyone who wants more soap from you knows that it will be a long time before they can use it! :wink:

What Linda meant was that it would be a long time before you could fill their "orders" because of the cure time. :mrgreen:
