Teach Soap

I made my first batch today! yay! Thanks to all of you! well we will see. Now I have ? about the little bit of left over soap. Is there something I can add to it so I can pour it in 1 more mold?

I just leave my little bit of leftovers in the pot/bowl for a day or two to let saponification finish, then I just use that soap to wash up all my stuff. Granted, if you've got a lot of production going on, that probably isn't going to work since you'd likely need the utensils again. But if you're doing smaller batches and have a day or two between batches, then it would probably work.

Depending how much you have left over, you can pour that little bit into a small plastic container and leave it be.

I save my plastic containers from individual serving fruit cups. They're the perfect size for leftover soap.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I will pour left overs into small icecube molds with different shapes and use those on top of some of my other molds. Or I will pour it into a small container, let it set for a day or two and when I cut my soaps I will roll this into a ball. I keep adding to this ball with each batch until it is medium size. I call them my "willy-nilly balls" because they have a little bit of everything in them. Mostly use them for around the kitchen sink... it is fun to see what color is showing next as you use it.
