Teach Soap

The other day, I was making soap, not my first batch either, but I left out about 1/2 of the oil by mistake. It hardened, but what can I do with it? Any suggestions would be great. Do I need to throw that batch away?

Do you know which oil and how much you left out? If so you could always rebatch and add those oils in.

Very small batch, but I left out the palm oil. How would I rebatch, just melt what I have and then add the oil or melt with the oil?
I've made the milled soap before, but wasn't sure if that would work for this. Thanks, Tanya

28 oz coconut oil
12 oz olive oil
24 oz palm oil (spectrum brand organic shortening)
20 oz water
9.5 oz lye
and lavender

That's quite a bit you left out for that size batch. With gloves on, chunk it or shred it and put it in the crock pot. When it gets to the mashed potato stage, add the pre-warmed palm oil and mix VERY well. then glop into your mold.

If you do not have a crock pot you can put it in an oven at 250 degrees and just check it every 15 min. I did end up stick blending mine at the very end to get it as smooth as possible.
