Can I ask what's in your recipe now?
Some people find a basic Castile is really good for sensitive skin.

I would go with pure castille with no scent and at least 8% superfat. With that said, some people cannot tolerate the high pH of hand made soap.

Well, you know me by now, I would formulate something instead, with a pH of 5.9
Hmmm . . . try buying her a Victoria's Secret Bath and Shower Cream. I bet that will work.

Swift aka Susan has a simple syndet body bar on her blog. I would try it (without the fragrance) since the pH is lower then handmade soap.

yeah, I think it's a pH problem mostly.

Some Liquid soaps are ok. She always has to buy pH balanced stuff. Then the allergies to fragrances. I made her some soap with no fragrance.
The recipe was

coconut oil
palm oil
olive oil
Castor oil
Jojoba oil
Avocado oil
5% superfat

The standard stuff
Would Castile soap have a lower pH?

And for the newbie question... (What is Castile?)

Would maybe pure olive oil bar be better?

Thanks again!

Castile to me is pure olive oil soap. It's just olive oil, water and lye. With that said, I've seen soaps that are called castile in stores, but they are a mixture of other oils like coconut or palm. All handmade soap has a pH of about 9, even pure castile.
