 Post subject: how to discount water

Is this correct when I want to discount liquid by 10%,,,,sorry if I may seem dumb, just dont want to get this wrong.

Say I have 1000g olive oil and I need 124.62g sodium hydroxide and 330g liquid (7%SF)
Do I find 10% of 330 and then take that off the liquids?

sometimes water, sometimes milk,,,,does that make a difference?

Milk has sugars and fat; water doesn't. So if you use one over the other, your soap could come out different.
