Teach Soap

I. Just made a new batch, I used a simple recipe I found on line for a shampoo bar. When I got it to trace I decided to add some honey. As soon as I started with my stick blender again it turned the whole batch burnt orange in colour! Do you think I burnt it, or does honey do this? It wast first time using honey so I didn't know what to expect. Didn't effect the smell or make it seize up or anything.

Guess that's why I call it my soap experiments

Honey has natural sugars which can caramelize in soap. That's why it turned orange. Depending how much you used, the color should tone down to beige or tan.
