Mine also gets a bit thick but it has not been a problem.
And I agree with you Coolah - I like using 100% gm with no added water...for me that is true goat's milk soap and the other ways of doing it seem like regular soap with some added goats milk. For whatever reason, that is just the way I think of it.

glad to hear it worked out okay! :D and no, it doesn't just happen to you, lol..I just had a strange buttermilk experience..no pudding-like consistency with the lye, but I think I got false trace..my soap looks weird! :roll:

Thanks, JGLMom and methree. Methree, I hope your false trace soap can be saved!

I cut my GM soap the other day and it seems fine. It looks normal, no zap. I'll take some photos in the next few days and post pics soon.
