Teach Soap

do you guys think this recipe would be good for dry skin?
on the other hand, do you think the superfat is too high, making it prone to oxidation?
i tried to make it high in oleic acid for a long shelf life, but i really need an experienced soaper's input on this.

Olive oil is not listed as a "hard" oil, but it will make a hard soap. I would up your olive and back off the castor and avocado. These two are soft oils and at 11% could make your soap soft. Unless you are using a finicky fragrance, you can make your lye concentration stronger, like 33% instead of 27%. I normally superfat at 7%, so your 8% sounds fine.

I have REALLY REALLY dry skin and one of the best soap recipes for me has been castile soap (100% olive oil). It makes a hard bar and is sooo moisturizing. I feel like I don't have to put on lotion a lot of the time after bathing which has never happened.

I just made an experimental batch with shea butter, sunflower oil, coconut oil and avocado oil that matches your specs pretty closely.
Mine gave: hardness 41, cleansing 20, conditioning 53, bubbly 20, creamy 21, iodine 54, INS 154 a little better than your 150.
The bar is noticeably softer than my normal commercial recipe but very luxurious to use. I use no castor yet my 'bubbly' is 20, nearly as good as your 22. I agree with soapbuddy on losing the castor from the recipe. I use 7.5% avocado oil in my commercial recipe and the soap is really hard. I'd keep that. Conditions at least as well as shea.
