I used lined shoe boxes and gift boxes for a while it worked. Milk cartons work pints quarts etc. Also from IKEA some plastic boxes with dividers.

Ok I use half a garbage bag for the liner then after the soap is poured as a cover then put the top on!

Oh and this is how I make a mold smaller for some applications

Guess I can resurrect this thread for my mold question =) I got this hard plastic mold from Canwax . I've used these types of molds for MP, but I'm thinking my CP will get horribly stuck in the fluers and the soap will be ruined. Thinking lining a cardboard box will work better, like a shoe box or something. Any comments? Suggestions? If I REALLY enjoy CP I will invest in one of the wooden slab molds with separators from BB =)

I have the Loaf Regular 1501 mold from here for my CP: http://www.espremiumproducts.com/Soap-Molds.html
I love it!

If you have a craft store near you like Michael's, they have small wooden boxes that you could line and use for molds.

I freeze my soap solid all the time. For me, it helps prevent gel. I doesn't hurt the soap in any way.

Like Irena said, doesn't seem to make a difference.

Awesome! Time to clean the freezer out of all the plain water bottles (to help the electricity bill) and make room for soap molds! :D

I love my wooden molds and would recommend any wooden mold over all others as it somehow breathes as it cures if that makes sense. I have some molds with plastic dividers and sides and bottom. For some reason the plastic, acrylic type molds do not dissipate heat like wood molds do, and can overheat a soap in my opinion.

Silicone is my second go to mold!

I would love to try a wooden mold, but all the ones I've found available to me in Oz are too expensive, or shipping them over makes them too expensive. :( Unfortunately I'm also a single parent so don't have any handy dandy male in my life to make me one. :?

I use the Crafter's Choice Silicone Log Mold (1501).
