List of Hard and Soft Oils?

Hiya

Was just wondering if there is a list somewhere of what oils are soft, and what are hard? That is - what oils make your bar go soft, and what help firm it up? Looking at my recipe from last night, I noticed Soapbuddy's comment that "Avocado and almond are both soft oils." So I was wondering if there is a list out there so I know for example, not to use Avocado and Almond in the same batch.

Perhaps other info on what oills are similar - again, Soapbuddy's comment "Rice bran has similar properties to olive."

Would be handy when I'm looking at recipe's do I don't "double up" on the same properties...

Yeah I'm putting together a table so I can print it out and put on my wall while I'm still learning and finding that perfect recipe for me...

If you go to www.soapcalc.net and selct an oil, it will give you all the properties to the left of the oil list - hardness, cleaninsing, conditioning, lather, etc. plus the iodine and SAP value. Very helpful!
