So my wonderful generous husband has seen what a soaping addict I've become (he also likes the extra income it has started to bring in) and has offered to rearrange our garage and get rid of some stuff so that I have my own place to work.
Problem is, the garage isn't heated or cooled. We keep the dogs out there in the winter with a little space heater, so it's usually around 68 which isn't bad. But we live where it gets pretty hot in the summer. Usually the garage is well over 80 degrees.
I suggested that we put a Compact (not a mini) refrigerator out there to keep the oils cool because I do not want them going rancid on me.
So I guess the big question is, what is the best temperature to store most oils at? And soaps too? I make MP also and he hasn't exactly learned that those suckers have to stay inside so that they don't sweat.
Just want to tell him that it's ok to have the fridge & store equipment & containers outside, but the soaps will probably have to be stored, and cured, in the house.
