Hi everyone,

I am new to soap making and just have a question about essential oils that fade after awhile in cp soap.I am about to buy some essential oils to make my first batch of soap and I choose the following because apparently from my research they tend to last in soap.They are

1) Lavender
2) Lemongrass
3) Rosemary
4) Peppermint
5) Geranium
6)Eucalyptus

What do you guys think, In your experience, do these essential oils last in soap.Thank you in advance.

If added below there flashpoint they should hold up nicely,some prefer to shrink wrap or otherwise wrap there soaps to help prevent evaporation.

Lavender can fade just a bit, unless you use 40/42 version. My soaps don't get wrapped at all til they are sold and go out the door. I would try Orange 10x which does last in soap.

I do not use alot of EO but my patch does not seem to fade. I did try the orange 10x and over about 6 months it was still going strong, but then I also put a little bit of litesa in them as well.

Litsea. It's a wonderful lemon scent, but it sticks much better than lemon essential oil.

I don't make citrus blends without it, even using the five or ten-fold oils.

I just ordered the EO sampler from BB. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow so I can play with it over the long weekend!!!
