Noticed i had a few lumps in my lye. Could this be the reason that i can't get my goats milk soap to gel all the way to the edges? Could this be the reason my soap makes my hands feel slippery after rinse? My soaps have cured over a months time and have hardened, look fine, never dried out my skin(even using it one week after being made) but did they saponify correctly? Maybe i haven't really made soap at all!!!!!

My lye has always heated up to over 150* but maybe it poops out in the middle of the process.....

If the soap feels slippery and you are using lye with clumps, you calculations will be off. You can carefully pick out the clumps out of the lye, or get some new lye.

Ok, tried the refrigerator thing and it still gelled. Maybe i should have soaped at room temp then put in the frig. If alot of soaps don't gel all the way, how do soapers sell a discolored bar of soap?

Sell the power circle soaps as a special, limited addition.
