Okay, I'm a little confused. I've heard of shampoo bars and I just found a site that has a TON of them. What's the difference between a shampoo bar and a regular bar of soap? I mean, if I wanted a moisturizing shampoo bar, wouldn't I just make a super moisturizing bar like normal? Or is there some kind of set "rule" for making a bar specifically for hair?

Some people use a regular, handmade soap as their shampoo. I would add some castor to your regular recipe and try it. My hair doesn't like a regular CP soap as a shampoo bar unless it's a syndet.

So the only difference between a regular CP bar and a Shampoo bar is Castor oil?

I use my regular CP soap on my hair with no problem. But, my hair is short! I haven't used shampoo for at least 6 months now.
