Teach Soap

Friends have been suggesting this market for quite sometime and I finally got my act together banner and all!

Had a marvelous time and sold some soap. I even sold soap that I didn't have on the table, just sitting in the wings waiting to be wrapped. Sold it naked!

Sharing soap with people gives me such a wonderful feeling! This market is in a local hospital parking lot, a farmers market with fresh organic fruits and veggies and wonderful breads, some jewelry, and other crafts, and my soap. It starts at 10 in the morning and goes until 5PM so that all the nurses who know their stuff can have a chance to shop also~!

Thanks to my husband and roadie, he did all the heavy lifting for me, bought the canopy and was so sweet about the whole process! Well and he loves the first handmade soap he ever tried!

Irena those boxes are nice and I just like to keep a few in boxes especially the multi color swirled soaps. I don't want the soaps for sale to be all sniffed on! LOL I hope that doesn't sound snobby!~ I have slices of most for people to touch and feel!

Oh and I do use a whole punch on the boxes to let air flow and fragrance escape some! The soaps that are single color I do one box and try to paper wrap the other soaps, unless the buyer want the box which is fine. They are biodegradable so no harm no foul!

Thanks everyone I suggest this for everyone when they get to the point of sharing a good soap. People are funny, some of their comments are hilarious and they ask good question!

Irena I put 4 holes in the end flap that folds into the box on one of the sides. You can even use hold punches with shapes but I prefer the regular round hole punch, it is strong and right size for me.

One last thing about the boxes, I use a piece of waxed paper to ease the soaps into the box without leaving skid marks of soap on the plastic material. Once the soap is positioned then I pull the paper out. I think copy paper would work too.
