Okay so an update:

Two days later the seized-but-saved soap is lick-a-licious (tongue test = awful soapy taste but no zap).

There is still a wee bit of oil here and there on the surface, not near as much as 2 days ago but just a little. It appears to be absorbing back into the soap.

Basically the soap looks like what I think hot process soap would look like (at least from pics and descriptions I've seen). So it's not as nice "looking" as my other cp batches but definitely not "ugly" either.

Sigh.
